It is easy to talk about partnering with parents but the nature of a five day academic week undermines the influence parents can have on their children. By keeping children home for four days and having them at school three days, the natural shift to family centricity occurs. Parents can then choose whether to do their "at home work" on Monday or Friday guaranteeing needed time as a family and for other pursuits outside of academics.
We look at students as individual image bearers of the living God with varied gifts and talents. Rather than relegating a child of a certain age to a specific grade we assess students in math, reading, and writing to place them in their appropriate learning level. Because we rotate through eras of time as an entire school we are able to accommodate advanced students, average students, and struggling students without compromising the content they study.
We live in an age of specialization but God is writing a masterful story that is all connected. He is the ultimate author and to see his story unfolding we integrate Bible, History, and Literature so students see the connections unfolding. This is integral to our approach to education.
